BF3 PC Client R7 is due on Fri Apr 27th

DICE are publishing an update to the BF3 PC game client on the morning of Friday April 27th.

From the official forum post:

The game client is compatible with the currently-live clients and servers.
There will not be any corresponding updates of game servers or central servers.
There will not be any downtime for Battlelog.

Since the patch is only code changes, it will be fairly small. I don't have the exact size in MB at hand, but expect it to be less than 100MB in size.

Battlefield 3 - R21 Update

We will be pushing out the latest update for Battlefield 3 - R21.

A summary of changes include:

• Fixed TV Missile doing much more damage than it should (it is no longer a 1-hit kill)
• Tweaked tank armor strength
• MAV elevatoring fix, round 2; proning on the MAV will now disable it
• RCON admin.say command can send to individual players

Bis zum nächsten umfassenden Patch für Battlefield 3 ist es nicht mehr weit hin. Wie Battlefields Global Community Manager bestätigt, finden sich der Patch bereits bei Sony und Microsoft in der Zertifizierung.

Battlefield 3: Umfangreicher Patch kommt in Kürze.

Der bereits im Vorfeld hinreichend vorgestellte große Patch zu Battlefield 3 wird schon in Kürze bereitstehen. Das plattformübergreifende Update findet sich bereits bei Sony und Microsoft in der Zertifizierung – das heißt, DICE wartet nur noch auf die Freigabe des fertig programmierten Patches. Damit scheint eine Veröffentlichung innerhalb der nächsten ein bis zwei Wochen realistisch.

Battlefield 3

Fixes instances of texture corruption/artifacts in Battlefield 3 when memory constrained (typically 1GB or less graphics cards running Ultra settings and high resolutions).

Hoffe jetzt läufts wieder rund mit Games wie BF3. Auch beim Surfen mit der Fehlermeldung "Ihr Nvidia Treiber wurde wiederhergestellt" ist hoffentlich jetzt Ruhe. Werde gleich mal testen.
